Un modèle comportemental pour étudier la prise de décision impliquée dans l’action climatique

L’Agenda 2030 des Nations Unies souligne la nécessité de promouvoir des actions qui atténuent les effets des changements climatiques et aident la population à s’adapter à l’impact des événements climatiques extrêmes (ECE). Dans des pays en développement comme le Brésil, les études psychologiques sur les actions climatiques sont encore rares. Cet article propose un programme de recherche pour aider les chercheurs, les professionnels et les décideurs à identifier les variables pertinentes dans l’étude de la relation entre les changements climatiques et le comportement. Basé sur le besoin d’identifier des profils comportementaux susceptibles d’interventions ou de l’impact des ECE, on présente des concepts issus de différents domaines de la psychologie comme des modérateurs psychologiques potentiels de la relation entre le changement climatique et le comportement. Enfin, l’hypothèse de susceptibilité différentielle émerge comme une méthode proposée pour identifier les modérateurs pertinents pour l’étude des actions climatiques au Brésil.
