Abstract

We discuss, in the present essay, the scope of Environmental Psychology. After a brief survey of the history of the subject (indicating it's origins and it's consolidation as a field of study), we delineate how the various areas of investigation were formed, making explicit it's basic pressupositions. We end our comments examining the three levels (personal, architectural and regional) in which research has been done in Environmental Psychology.
