Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the applicability of Murray Bowens theory of self differentiation to family therapy. It focused one family showing how the couples life histories, starting from the very first triangulations in the nuclear and extended families were transmitted between generations until generate a renewed history for the couple and their own family.
