Abstract

The multilevel framework Micro-meso-macro proposes to describe the innovation process based on the complexity and rules. In this framework adopt the rule as an analytical concept which is used to establish a bridge between the theories employed. Two gaps were identified in the innovation processes: the first is connected to the simplicity with which complexity is generally treated; and the second refers to the lack of a focus on the rules embedded in the theories used in innovation. The goal in this theoretical essay is to propose a multilevel framework, based on the rules and principles of complexity to analyze the innovation process. In this new framework the rules and the interactions are detailed and based on principles of complexity.
