Abstract

This text was written in the days following Professor István Jancsó's death. The content was kept entirely for publication in the Angelus Novus Magazine. The author would like to thank everyone who expressed their solidarity and support in that moment of great commotion and information that recently the book Um Historiador do Brasil: István Jancsó (São Paulo: Hucitec, 2010) was recently released. personal, political and academic trajectory, organized by Marco Morel, Andréa Slemian and the author of this text. Although this was not the original intention, the book was still, among many other things, a posthumous tribute.
