Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to analyze if the Sectoral Funds (SFs) redefined the model for the promotion of Science, Technology and Innovation (ST&I), changing from an offering-linear model to the systemic model, as provided for in its conception. In order to consolidate this model, the productive sector needs to be inserted into the innovation process. Thus, this study relied on the analysis of the presence or not of the company in two objects of the SFs. The results show that neither the funding agencies nor the approved projects have sought to encourage university-industry cooperation. So it was possible to see that there wasn't any redefinition to the systemic innovation model; on the contrary, the promotion policy of ST&I continues to follow a linear model, now driven by demand.
