In the present business environment, permeated by technological, administrative and economic transformations, entrepreneuring has come to be considered a fundamental element in the search for competitiveness of organizations. This situation is more evident in the incubators of enterprises since they aim at the birth and development of the ventures they sponsor. Thus the present work is a study about the support offered by Brazilian enterprises aiming at potentializing their entrepreneuring features. It is a descriptive quantitative/qualitative study, undertaken through a survey type of research. The population of the research was constituted by 179 Brazilian incubators, of which 37 responded to a questionnaire. The data collection occurred through the questionnaire mentioned above, sent by email to the coordinators of the incubators under analysis. The results of the research show that the features of the incubators influence the type of support made available as well as the intensity with which it is furnished to the incubated organizations in each stage of the incubating process. The types of support, namely administrative, financial and structural, contribute to develop the entrepreneuring characteristics in the incubated business. In addition, the incubators resort to specific programs to develop entrepreneuring features.Downloads
