In this paper, the authors discuss the new challenges for corporations and financial institutions arising from the need for economical efficiency and from the demand for sustainable development and for fighting climate change. They address environmental risks and the need for it to be managed, not only by corporations, but especially by financial institutions, which finance most of the economic activities that generate relevant social and environmental impact.Downloads
