O efeito da dominância dos membros inferiores no desempenho funcional de jovens atletas de futsal

Resumo

O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar o desempenho funcional, através da comparação bilateral, dos membros inferiores de jovens atletas de futsal. Trinta jovens atletas de futsal saudáveis (15 F e 15 M), com idade média de 14,30 (± 1,06) anos, fizeram parte da amostra. Para a análise de desempenho funcional dos membros inferiores foram utilizados alguns hop tests (single hop test, triple hop test, crossover hop test e o timed hop test) e o Y balance test. Para a comparação entre os membros foi utilizado o teste t para medidas repetidas com tamanho de efeito d de Cohen e o índice de assimetria. Além disso, para análise da pontuação composta do Y balance test, foi utilizado o teste t de Student para uma amostra para a comparação com o valor normativo (94%). Foi considerado o nível de significância de p < 0,05. Não foram encontradas diferenças estatisticamente significativas na comparação entre o membro dominante e membro não dominante em nenhum dos hop tests. No Y balance test, apenas a direção anterior demonstrou diferença significativa entre os membros. Além disso, os índices de assimetria entre os membros se encontram de acordo com o recomendado pela literatura (< 10%) em ambos os testes, em todas as comparações realizadas. Pode-se concluir que o pequeno tempo de prática esportiva (4,57 anos em média) e o desenvolvimento muscular ainda incompleto dos atletas avaliados (devido a idade desses atletas) são os responsáveis pelas simetrias entre os membros encontradas nas avaliações funcionais.
