In Brazil, martial arts and combat sports are considered subjects of Physical Education programs in lementary/high schools. Among other relevant activities and learning topics such as sports, gymnastics, dance, games and body health issues, martial arts and combat sports have also been included in the Brazilian public schools curriculum. The aim of this study is to analyze the conceptions from the Physical Education area about martial arts as a subject in the school education.Downloads
