Resumen

One aspectquestioned inSport Pedagogyconcerns about actions ofcoaches andteachers. Theseshould be directedto the interestsand needs of eachpractitioner. In this study, we elucidatedthe reasonsthat attracted120children andyoung people topractice artistic gymnastics(GA) aged 4to 18 years. Afterinterview andcontent analysis, results showed: Intrinsicfactors: pleasure andtaste forpractice; learning andovercoming; andExtrinsicFactors: GAitself; physical benefits; social influences; playful aspects; and health.The mediahas emergedin the responsesof childrenabove 8years;the playfulaspectsof allages andgenders; become professional above 10 years and GA elements was related tothe specific elementsof this sport. Professionalsattentive andcriticalto these factorscan directand promote the practicein favorof theestablishment ofsporting culturein the long term.
