Abstract

The present review approaches the social liquefaction phenomenon described by Bauman and its repercussions for the human beings lives in its different spheres. Between the freedom and the impossibility to fly away without safe ballast, Baumam argues the question of the consumption and the new individual disorder. Indifference and uncertainty, identity, and privatization of the public sphere are some topics briefly discussed here.
