Embracing the dialogue between literacy and children's literature

The objective of this work is to discuss Literacy and Children's Literature presenting a collection of eight books, of our authorship, that has contributed for learning of the reading and the writing in Brazilian schools. In books of the histories of Beto and Bia it is possible to find varied chaining so that the children perceive that the written text is a form to represent the reality. This study it will be based on the works of Morrow, Ruddell, Kleiman, Soares, Bakhtin and Vygotsky, amongst others. Texts of children constructed from the reading of histories of Beto and Bia will illustrate this article showing that to learn to read and to write but, over all, to make use of the reading and the writing is a transforming act that guides the individual to another social, cultural, cognitive, linguistic condition, among othersDownloads
