This is a pilot study on the causes of emotional stress on 13 nurses working in Pediatric Intensive Care Units. The Author identified, as extrinsic causes, the objectives and the environment of the units, the relations nurse-members of the working team, the family and the children's critical condition; and, as intrinsic causes, the nurses personal conditions and their attitude towards death.Downloads
