Organizational Structures of Companies Linked to Fortaleza Univesity’s Technological Incubator: An Analysis under Mintzberg Perspective.

The main purpose of this study is to examine whether the predominant structural configuration of companies linked to Fortaleza University’s Technological Incubator is also linked to their skills. To reach the proposed aim we carried out a descriptive and qualitative research, with multiple case studies. Data were collected through document analysis, interview with the UNIFOR’s coordinator for Technology Companies’ Development Space (EDETEC) and self-administered questionnaires in companies linked to EDETEC/UNIFOR. The results indicated the predominance of Professional Bureaucracy settings, Simple Structure, and Adhocracy, with the latter two being directly linked to entrepreneurial and innovative skills.Downloads
