I present the content of three scientific articles I published, discussing bipedalism as a consequence of the necessity of safe carry of infants, correlated to the reduction of body hairs in our evolutionary lineage. I focus forms of infant carrying among primates, their hair density, mechanical properties of ape hairs and equilibrium conditions for safe carry of infants. I discuss the environment of the initial evolution, correlations between bipedality and reproduction, and the proposal I made to explain the mystery of our origin, in terms of survival probabilities and divergence in relation to other primates. The conclusion mentions a return to Darwin, integrating the knowledge obtained in the last centuryDownloads
