Abstract

Sport has been one of the marginal topics in historiography; however, its social penetration is imense. The presence of sport in daily life has been, recently, revealed as a means of analysis of the social structure. The intention of the present text is a questioning about alternatives to the study of sports as a metaphor to the social dynamism.
