Abstract

This article examines some aspects of the images of Carnival and Lent in comical texts which date from the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, establishing the similarities and differences in the interpretation of the theme of combat between Carnival and Lent in the fabliaux and in Livro de Buen Amor, of Arciprestre de Hita.
