Abstract

This textual and photographic essay intends to light to the (in) visible relations that exists in Bexiga - an historical district of the city of São Paulo, Brazil -, able to make it a special place, either through its opening to the city or through local appropriation by its residents. In addition to approaching concepts such as cultural heritage, social, urban and political dynamics will be mentioned, articulated to the visible and invisible premises of gentrification and strategic development, responsible for the (in) visible exclusion that characterizes the neighborhood since its materialization. In charge of the photograph will be the illustration of the dialogical relations visible or, often, unnoticed that show the social heterogeneity of the place, as well as the cultural memory of the same one
