Abstract

The review emphasizes key aspects of Architecture and mimetic self: A psychoanalytic study of how buildings make and break our lives by British philosopher Lucy Huskinson. The author argues for the crucial role of architecture in the formation and transformation of the Self, driven by what she describes as the architectural event. This event is initiated by the embodied experience combined with the individual's memory in interaction with the constructed environment.
