Abstract

Revista da Tulha completed its tenth year of editorial activity in 2024. Focused on publishing academic production in the area of ​​music from an interdisciplinary perspective, the journal encourages, promotes and disseminates works by teachers, students and people interested in the field of music.

Author Biographies

  • Caio Marco Espimpolo, Universidade de São Paulo

    Caio Marco Espimpolo holds a degree in Art Education with a specialization in Music from the Music Department of the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Ribeirão Preto at the University of São Paulo (2016). He is currently studying for an Academic Master's Degree in the Postgraduate Program in Education at FFCLRP - USP and works as a guest editor of Revista da Tulha (journal of the Music Department - FFCLRP - USP) as an ABCD - USP scholarship holder (2024-2025). He works as a full-time Art teacher at the Municipal Department of Education of the City Hall of Ribeirão Preto - SP and at the Municipal Department of Education of the City Hall of Sertãozinho - SP. He has worked in Basic Education since 2011 as an Art and Music teacher and, since 2005, as a teacher of instrument and music theory, as an instrumentalist musician and singer in the area of ​​popular music. Research with emphasis on the themes: music, music teaching, school education, criticism of law and legal subjectivity, work, historical-dialectical materialism and Marxism.

  • Isabela Casalli de Sousa, Universidade de São Paulo

    Isabella Casalli de Sousa is an undergraduate student in Art Education with a specialization in Music (Singing and Lyrical Art) at the Music Department of the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Ribeirão Preto at the University of São Paulo (2024) and works as a guest editor of Revista da Tulha (journal of the Music Department - FFCLRP - USP) as an ABCD - USP scholarship holder (2024-2025). She has been a member of Cia. Minaz since 2014 and is currently a student at the Opera Studio and a chorister (soprano) of the Juvenil II and Lírico choirs. In addition, she is a section monitor (sopranos) at the SINCOVARP choir. She is interested in research with an emphasis on the following themes: music, singing and lyrical art, choral singing, music teaching and translation/editing of books and other academic texts in the area of ​​music and other fields of art.

    Marcos Câmara de Castro is an associate professor in the Department of Music at the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Ribeirão Preto at the University of São Paulo and managing editor of Revista da Tulha.
