Abstract

In this issue, we publish questions about the concept of autonomy of musical work - an issue that has florished in recent decades with the “performative turn” of musicology - as well as analyzes of works - which shows that systematic musicology is as alive as young performance musicology.

Author Biography

  • Marcos Câmara de Castro, Prof. Dr., University of São Paulo

    Marcos Câmara de Castro is a writer and an Associate Professor of Music Department of the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Ribeirão Preto of University  of São Paulo (USP), responsible for the following subjects: Choral Singing and conducting, Musical Education and ethnomusicology. He has a degree (1983), a master's degree (2001) and a doctorate (2007) from Faculty of Communications and Arts (ECA/USP). Beetwen 1988 and 1990, he folowed the classes of Michel Philippot at de CNSM-Paris, as an "auditeur libre", with a scholarship by CNPq (National Research Council) and a post-doctorate at the University of Lorraine, under the direction of Didier Francfort, with a BPE scholarship by FAPESP (2012-2013). He is leader of the research group (CNPq) EsTraMuSE: transdisciplinary studies in music, society, education, and since 2016 he is an associate researcher in the thematic project FAPESP 2016 / 05318-7, The Local Musicking: new trails for ethnomusicology.
