Linguistic variation: the rise of Pajubá in impenetrable spaces

Abstract

This article presents research on the lived experiences of the dissident community, especially their forms of communication, with an emphasis on the use of Pajubá — a language rich in identity and culture. The qualitative research, based on theoretical studies, interviews, and
document analysis through participant observation, enabled an analysis of the use and expansion of this linguistic variant through interviews with both former students and trans-travestis teachers. This allowed for a better understanding of how this language has spread into previously impenetrable spaces and how much still needs to be done regarding the adoption of effective methods for recognizing Pajubá in its full effectiveness.
