Abstract

Historical epistemology, which has one of its main exponents in Gaston Bachelard, has often been criticized as being idealistic, since it would interpret the historical evolution of scientific theories in a relatively autonomous way, regardless of their social context or the human being producing science. This paper seeks to demonstrate how, at least in Bachelard's case, there is a concern for the subject of science, which is implicated in the construction of scientific theories, but not as its mere producer, but as its effect. It is the subject of a scientific pedagogy that operates by constituting and modifying the subject of knowledge insofar as scientific objects, in turn, are also the effect of a mise-en-perspective of knowledge.
