Abstract

This work makes a reading of the Parque da Juventude (Youth Park) project under the environmental perspective, focusing its creation and design process, its insertion in São Paulo City, the lack of environmental and ecological concerns in the design of its project, as well as possible potentialities the site allows for the development of a sustainable environmental design and planning. The work also highlights the importance of Environmental Planning for the design and remodelling of the 21st Century cities.
