Résumé

In this article features are presented which concern pottery production in Varginha Community, searching to understanding the know-how in this usual practice transferred from generation to generation. By constructing the technical production as an cultural manifestation, we sought to characterize not only the pottery’s technical-morphological elements associated to functional spaces and working modalities, but also the process and gesture techniques developed in the production of pottery.
