Organization and Management of Brazilian prehistoric collections from the Museu de Arqueologia e Etnologiay/Universidade de São Paulo: the CAB project.

The aims of the project “Organization and Management of Brazilian prehistoric collections of the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology/University of São Paulo” were: define a methodology to apply to this kind of collections, organize the field and lab documentation; control the collections and the documentation and organize the collections in the Museum. From the 170 collections chosen at the beggining of the project, it had been possible to organize 44 collections at the Museum/São Paulo and 58 collections at the Regional Center for Archaeological Research Mário Neme/MAE, located at Piraju, completing 66.570 archaeological objects.
