The present article attempts to discuss a serious problem existing nowadays in the teaching of literature in high school, which is: the absence of pleasure in literary reading. This absence is aggravated by the constant presence of constraints in this type of activity. The results mainly from the importance presently given to certain variables, that having become determinants, should be rigorously questioned by the high school teacher of literature.Downloads
