Sobre a definição

Abstract

The problem of lexicographic definition is introduced and the influence that a conception of meaning analysis developed by the Port-Royal philosophers had on it is discussed. Then the theme is dealt with from the point of view of Wittgensteins ideas, first in the Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus, where a form of meaning analysis is sustained such that a precise and exhaustive definition is possible. His positions change in Philosophical Investigations and there meaning is not necessarily precise but is determined by the form of life. Those conceptions are used for an examination of Lurias experiments under a new light. Other considerations are made on E. Roschs discoveries on concepts and Vygotskys view on complexive thought.
