Abstract

In the present paper the A. describes two series of experiments on the artificial insemination of cattle, and some modifications introduced in the technique are pointed out. He describes, too, a new procedure employed by him for the purpose of obtaining semen, based on the direct massaging of the glans penis. This method, which dispenses with any kind of apparatus, is capable of furnishing semen in very good conditions of asepsis. After treating with vitamins B, and C two infertile senile bulls, 18 and 23 years old, the A. was capable of obtaining up to the present time 160 and 17 conceptions respectively.
