Abstract

1.029 live weight of Caracú females were calculated on the heart - girth basis from the Crevat's formula: P = Pt3 x 80 where P = live weight; Pt - herat girth. The live weights obtained from that formula are significantly different from the real weightes of the animals, specially at one, three, four and five years of age. The A. A. conclude that the live weightes obtained from the regression index offer best results than those obtained from Crevat's formula.
