The comparing study of gross and microscopic lesions described here and those reported by Rubarth and others reveals two identical pictures, so as to allow the diagnosis of H.c.c., although no experimental innoculation has been made. The anatomo-pathological aspect of three cases examined, was dominated by perihepatitis, edema of the gallbladder and haemorrhagic lesions of the ganglions. The leading histological aspect was found in the liver, being characterized by a sero-haeinorrhagic hepatitis with strong regressive changes, and by intranuclear inclusion bodies. The inclusion bodies were seen in the hepatic cells, Kupffer cells, reticular cells of the spleen, in the renal glomeruli, and in one case also in the endotclial cells of the c.n.s. In the Brazilian literature there is no reference to this virosis, it beeing admitted thus that the present article is the first report on the disease in this country.Downloads
