Abstract

The stomach capacity of thoroughbred horses was measured in 4O adult animals, 20 males and 20 females. The average value obtained was 10.910 liters with a maximum capacity of 21.750 liters and a minimum of 5.700 liters in the males and for the females the results were 15.000 liters and 5.700 liters respectively. The statistical analysis revealed a significant difference related to the sex.
