There were tested 327 serum samples from normal horses of São Paulo city by the fluorescent antibody technique. Among them 70%were positive. These results, observed after the first epidemic outbreak of the toxoplasmosis, suggest that the infection settled in the equine population with its normal epidemiological characteristics of low morbidity and high prevalence of unapparent infection.Downloads
