Abstract

Reproductive performance o f a Nelore herd\ raised in Campinas, Brazil, before and after fertility control and herd management program is presented in this paper. The Analisys of data revealed that: a) herd IA fertility index increased 128.6%; b) 1st.IA conception rate increased 20.4%; c) services per conception decreased from 2.3 to 1.6; d) interval from calving to next estrous decreased in average, 16.2 days; e) interval from calving to conception decreased, in average, 38.8 days, resulting in shorter calving interval, greater number of calving and increased productivit.
