Isolation of aerobic actinomicetales genus Nocardia from infections of domestic animals

It was described the isolation of Actinomicetales, genus Nocardia, associated with veterinary pathology, mainly with bovine mastitis. From a total of 28 sample isolate 24 were identified as Nocardia asteroides, all of them isolated from milk sources. The other one were classified as Nocardia brasiliensis and they were obtained from: swine vaginal swab (1); tracheal mucus of a Holstein-Friesian P. O. with pulmonary affections (1) and bovine mastitis milk samples (2).Downloads
