Abstract

Analysis of social-economical aspects and of the political conditions in the nineteen century wherein the abolicionist concept is developed and the discussion, in the national Parliament, of the projects that originated the laws of 1871, 1885 and finally the law of 1888 that abolished slavery in the country.
