In joão Guimarães Rosa´s Grande sertão:veredas, the unity of Riobaldo´s enonciation is divided by the complementary opposition of two constructive principles, as a game with synonyms (many names for an only being, "God") and homonys (only a name for many things and events, "Devil"). The opposition maybe is the main metalinguistic mark of the text and it articulates other levels of sense in the novel, as those of the allegories of neoplatonic, philosophy, political fight in "Sertão", love, myth and language.Downloads
