Abstract

The prevalence of Trypanosoma cruzi infection was analysed in 2690 autopsies performed in the Triângulo Mineiro area (Central Brazil, State of Minas Gerais); 38.84% of the patients were infected. No decline of this infection during the last years was observed. These findings are discussed and compared with those of the literature.
