Massive strongyloidiasis: report of four cases
Abstract
Four cases of overwhelming strongyloidiasis, three of them fatal are reported. Anyone were under a immunossupressive regimen or had a previously detected immunossuppressive disease. Emphasis is placed on the malabsorption syndrome which was noted in almost all of them. The physiopathological aspects of the clinical findings, especially constipation and recurrent meningitis are discussed.Downloads
