Abstract

Administration of levamisole at the adult dosage (150mg/day) for period of 2-3 months, was found to be associated with diminishing numbers and late disappearence of circulating Mansonella ozzardi microfilarias. No adverse reactions to the drug were recorded. The degree of circulating eosinophils served as indicator of the microfilaria presence.
