Abstract

This study points the importance of Lebret and SAGMACS in training technical staff for acting in the urbanism in Brazil. From the work done by the SAGMACS, we present the professional staff that linked the institution, highlighting the work and professional trajectory of Lebret next to the field of urban and regional planning, as a foreigner who contributed to the debate on urban issues, especially in the 1950s, thereby improving the reading procedures and diagnosis of urban space and understanding about the problems of Brazilian cities, thus forming new agents for urban and regional planning.
