Abstract

The thematic of state intervention in the field of social housing in Brazil before-BNH, concentrated in the production of IAPs/1933 and FCP/1946, with the performance of professionals involved in the processes structuring and construction of houses in second plane. This article aims to examine the technical collaboration of the engineer-architect Rubens Porto, with regard to reform of the regulations of the IAPs/CAPs, throughout the 1930s. Porto held positions of prominence in the Catholic Church and the Ministry of Labor, Industry and Commerce/MTIC, and lived with the routine of the workers and allowed access to various data and research developed in the world.
