Abstract

The work of the Portuguese architect Fernando Ferreira de Pinho is presented. Having lived in Brazil, he worked mainly in Bauru-SP during the decades of 1950, 1960 and 1970. In agreement with modern conceptions, Pinho's projects constitute an important part for comprehending the regional production of the Brazilian architecture during those three decades, revealing, at the same time, the modern maturity common in that period, and its popularization, when reaching the different scales of professional performance and of design inserted in quotidian life.
