The W. K. Kellogg Foundation and the development of nursing in Latin America

Abstract

The article makes a review of W. K. Kellogg Foundation’s participation in the development of nursing in Latin America. Especial attention is given to the program for the Development of Nursing, which started in 1987. Such program contains several components, including the establishment of Poles of Development for Nursing (PRODEN), that are described in the article.

RLAE’s authorship concept is based on the substantial contribution by each of the individuals listed as authors, mainly in terms of conceiving and planning the research project, collecting or analyzing and interpreting data, writing and critical review.
