This work describes the Conceptual Model of Interactive Open Systems and the Theory of Goal Attainment by Imogene King by reflecting on the care process based on this proposal. It was accomplished as a result of the extensive study of King's theoretical structure and its application with patients. It was possible to observe that the theoretical structure supplies the necessary theoretical and conceptual framework which is necessary for humanized nursing care. Also, it remains updated and included in the current context of health care.Downloads
