Associação entre os comportamentos de movimento de 24 horas e sintomas depressivos em universitários no decurso pandêmico de Covid-19

Introdução: Os comportamentos de movimento: atividade física, comportamento sedentário e sono, são modificáveis e a sua consideração concomitante pode consistir em medidas protetoras contra sintomas depressivos. Objetivo: Este estudo teve como objetivo avaliar a associação entre comportamentos de movimento de 24 horas e sintomas depressivos em universitários no decurso da pandemia da COVID-19. Métodos: A amostra foi composta por 88 universitários de uma Universidade Pública do Sul da Bahia. Atividade física, comportamento sedentário e sono foram avaliados pelo acelerômetro ActiGraph wGT3XBT durante sete dias consecutivos além dos questionários Sedentary Behavior Questionnaire for Adults (SBQ) e Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). O Patient Hellth Questionnaire (PHQ-9) foi utilizado para avaliação do risco para depressão. As análises foram realizadas no pacote estatístico IBM SPSS versão 25.0 (IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY, EUA) com nível de significância estatística estabelecida em p<0.05 e intervalo de confiança de 95%. Resultados: 79,5% (n=70) da amostra apresentou sintomas depressivos enquanto 51.1% (n=45) apresentou risco de depressão. Na análise por cluster com acelerômetro, foi encontrado maior risco de depressão ao atender apenas uma (RP: 1.45; p=0.006) ou nenhuma (RP: 1.44; p=0.003) das recomendações dos comportamentos de movimento de 24 horas quando comparado a duas ou mais. Conclusão: Conclui-se que os comportamentos de movimento, de maneira combinada ou isolada, associaram-se parcialmente com risco aumentado de depressão quando avaliados por acelerômetro. Além disso, atender a uma ou nenhuma recomendação aumenta o risco para sintomas depressivos quando comparados àqueles que atendem a duas ou a todas as recomendações.
