It is with great enthusiasm that we bring out this thematic supplement of Revista Medicina (Medical Journal) dedicated to Interprofessional Education (IPE) as a transformative approach to health education and work and its impact in the context
of the Unified Health System (SUS). Organized
by researchers from the Graduate Program in Public Health at the Ribeirão Preto School of Medicine (FMRP-USP), in collaboration with the Graduate Program in Public Health Nursing at the Ribeirão Preto School of Nursing in Ribeirão Preto (EERP-USP), this supplement reflects the growing
relevance of IPE beyond a simple strategy,
configuring itself as a pedagogical innovation
that seeks to redefine the paradigms of health training and practice, with potential impacts on multiple dimensions of health systems and society.
