The lung involvement in the inflammatory bowel disease is rare and it is not well characterized. We describe two cases of female patients with unspecific pulmonary symptomatology, and previous treatment for inflammatory bowel disease - Crohn‘s disease (case 1) and ulcerative rectocolitis. A chest computerized tomography was compatible with usual interstitial pneumonia (UIP). Related literature was reviewed.
