Pathology of obstructive jaundice

In this article extrahepatic cholestasis was seen by two point of view.: liver changes induced by cholestasis and pathological study of extrahepatic colangiopathies. Hepatic morphological changes and the main markers of extrahepatic obstruction were analized and compared with differential diagnosis spectrum of intrahepatic cholestasis. Pathological evaluation of extrahepatic cholangiopathies include main aspects of specific diseases and differential diagnosis of inflammatory and neoplastic ones.
